Welcoming Chris Early as General Manager of Games for Windows - LIVE

Microsoft is excited to announce that Chris Early, the studio manager for Microsoft Casual Games and a driving force behind Xbox LIVE Arcade and MSN Games, will be the new General Manager for Games for Windows '" LIVE effective July 9th.

Bryan Trussel will replace Early leading the casual game services.

In addition to expanding Microsoft's casual gaming audience and game experiences across multiple platforms, Early has been a passionate advocate and driver of Games for Windows '" LIVE and the cross-platform gaming vision. Early made his mark in the online services space as former chief operating officer and president of GameSpy Industries, and previous to that was executive vice president of Mplayer. Early's team will continue to bridge the gap between Xbox LIVE and Windows, add features and services appropriate to PC gamers, and help developers integrate Games for Windows '" LIVE into their games. He will be bringing his extensive experience in PC gaming to the team and will drive the product roadmap for Games for Windows '" LIVE.

His experience in and passion for PC multiplayer gaming will be invaluable as we continue to build and expand the Games for Windows- LIVE service to appeal to the millions of Windows gamers worldwide.
