The world's leading trade publication for the videogames industry,
GamesIndustry.biz, today announces that it has appointed Mark Androvich
as the site's first US Editor.
GamesIndustry.biz has long been
an essential read for videogames professionals across the globe, but
the site is now moving towards non-stop rolling news so that readers
can keep up to date with the latest developments regardless of where
they're based. As part of this strategy, Mark Androvich has been hired
to complement the UK-based team as GamesIndustry.biz's first US-based
full time staff member.
Mark Androvich has nine years of
experience as a games journalist, having previously contributed to
publications such as PSM, Classic Gamer and Hardcore Gamer. Most
recently, Mark was editor-in-chief of PS Extreme magazine. He has also
written more than 20 official game guides for Dimension Publishing,
Prima and Brady Games.
Based in California, Mark will be
responsible for producing the US-focused content on GamesIndustry.biz
and managing relationships with North American companies.
Commenting
on the appointment, Eurogamer Network managing director Rupert Loman
said, '"We're delighted to have Mark on board. We've been really
impressed with what we've seen so far. This appointment puts
GamesIndustry.biz in the perfect position to strengthen its position in
the US market."
Androvich added, '"I'm very excited to join a
company as dynamic and interesting as Eurogamer Network. I look forward
to reinforcing GamesIndustry.biz's status as the undisputed global
market leader for videogames industry news and information."
