The online games developer Northworks Software GmbH and the online games publisher gamigo AG announced the launch of the online football (soccer) manager game "goalunited" in english speaking countries today.

"goalunited" is a free web based football manager game. Players get the chance to manage their own unique and personalized club, to compete against other managers' teams in their league, to climb up the table and to fight for the title. Through smart selection and enduring training, teams stay fit and develop the best tactics. Spectacular victories and the signing of the right sponsors allow players to build up enough support for the Beckham's and Figo's of tomorrow.

In the English version gamigo and Northworks include 14 completely new leagues. In addition to English speaking countries like England, Wales, Scottland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Oceania, USA and Canada, leagues for Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands have been created. Everything is prepared to continue the global rollout of this next generation football manager game aimed at attracting soccer enthusiasts and manager game addicts. In early January "goalunited" had its "kick-off" in south- and middle America, launching leagues for Argentina, Brasil, Chile and a dozen more Spanish and Portugese speaking countries. The registration for the English version (http://www.goalunited.co.uk) is open from today and the leagues will start within a week. The earlier players register their club, the higher they are placed within the league-system.

To date, more than 80.000 spare-time-managers have already signed up on this fast growing online football manager game. The launch of the Spanish and English versions means that "goalunited" is poised to become a global phenomenon with over 250.000 teams by December.
