The very latest technology from 2,700 global companies will be unveiled
and on display at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in
Las Vegas, 8-11 January 2007. This year the show will also be
celebrating its 40th anniversary.
The world's largest consumer
electronics tradeshow, the 2007 International CES - run by the Consumer
Electronics Association (CEA) - will showcase consumer technologies
from wireless, electronic gaming, digital imaging, home entertainment,
digital audio and video, mobile electronics, broadband, content media,
home networking and information technologies. Covering over 30 product
and technology areas, the 2007 International CES will be spread over
more than 1.6 million net square feet of exhibition space at the Las
Vegas Convention Centre, the Sands Expo & Convention Centre/The
Venetian and the Las Vegas Hilton. Last year's event attracted more
than 150,000 attendees.
Some of the biggest names in the
industry will be attending and delegates will be able to listen to
keynote addresses given by Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft Corp., Ed
Zander, chairman of the board and CEO of Motorola Inc., Robert Iger,
president and CEO of The Walt Disney Co, Michael Dell, chairman of Dell
and Gary Shapiro president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the
Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
"We have an amazing and
unprecedented lineup to kick off the 2007 International CES with
industry greats Bill Gates, Ed Zander, Bob Iger and Michael Dell," said
CEA's Gary Shapiro. "These four industry visionaries will present their
views of where the industry - particularly digital content and
entertainment - is heading from their unique positions as heads of some
of the world's most influential companies."
Building on the
success of last year's Innovation Plus area based at the Sands Expo and
Convention Centre, the International CES has added The Venetian as the
'must see' destination for 2007. The Sands area showcases the majority
of the CES TechZones, conference sessions, international pavilions and
much more. Attached to the Sands, The Venetian is the new home for
keynote addresses and high-performance audio & home theatre
exhibits.
