Rallies Players to Support Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the Third Year Running
Who: WorldWinner,
a subsidiary of FUN Technologies Inc. and the leader in online game
competitions, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
What:
For the third consecutive year, WorldWinner will host a month-long
series of online game competitions to support the Susan G. Komen Breast
Cancer Foundation and its mission to eradicate breast cancer as a
life-threatening disease. The competitions are part of WorldWinner's
Compete for Pink program, which guarantees a minimum donation of
$100,000 to the Komen Foundation. The more players compete, the higher
the donation.
How does it work: Players compete
in select online game competitions in one of eight casual online games
“ SwapIt!, Paint Buckets, Spades, Solitaire Rush, 9-ball Pool, Word
Mojo, Word Cubes or Catch-21 “ from which WorldWinner will donate 10
percent of entry fees to the Komen Foundation. Also, WorldWinner will
donate $1 to the Komen Foundation for each member who registers for a
free account through www.worldwinner.com/komen so get to the registering.
Why:
Nearly 70 percent of WorldWinner's players are female, more than half
of them between the ages of 25 and 54. These players are a subset of
the 40 million women who comprise the female online games population.
Working with the Komen Foundation allows WorldWinner to spread the word
about breast cancer awareness to its 17 million players while raising
money for breast cancer research and outreach programs.
When: Compete for Pink competitions run throughout the month of October in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
