CDV Software Entertainment USA and GSC World Publishing today released a new playable demo for their upcoming fantasy title, Heroes of Annihilated Empires.

The 500MB demo offers a mix of single- and multiplayer gameplay utilizing both the RTS and RPG elements from the full game. Included in the demo is an extensive single-player mission taken directly from the game, and a LAN-playable skirmish mode with two available races (Elves and Undead - each with three heroes to choose from). The game is expected to ship to North American retail on October 23.

In development by GSC Game World, Heroes of Annihilated Empires will offer a unique combination of RTS and RPG gameplay, as players build massive armies and develop a heroic character in a rich fantasy world filled with magic, myth and monsters. Four distinct races will battle for domination using swords and sorcery. Heroes' new 3D engine shows the astonishing beauty of the created world, reflecting the peculiarities of various races' territories.
