Evergreen Events proudly announces the inaugural 2007 Online Game
Development Conference (OGDC). The OGDC will be held on May 10-11, 2007
at Washington state's only AAA 5 Diamond hotel, the elegant Fairmont
Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle. The Online Game Development
Conference is slated to be the foremost source of high-quality
technical and creative information for the interactive game development
community.
According to Michael Cai, Director of Broadband &
Gaming for Parks Associates said, "The online gaming market, which
includes MMO gaming, in-game item exchange, web-based online gaming
services, game advertising, online console gaming, and digital
distribution, is going to quadruple in size in the North American
market, from $1.1 billion in 2005 to $4.4 billion by 2010. It's
imperative for game developers to have a handle on trends in the
industry, as it explodes in size and diversity."
With this
accelerating growth, new challenges and opportunities emerge for the
developer. The Online Game Development Conference is designed to offer
a wide array of fresh, future-oriented answers to the many challenges
and opportunities facing online game developers. The maxim of the OGDC
is "Connect Your Brain"; at this conference like none other developers
will connect with each other and the information they need.
Peter
Freese, Conference Chairperson for the Online Game Development
Conference states, "I've been in the massively multiplayer online games
industry 7 years, and I've always felt the creators behind these game
titles haven't had a forum where they can exchange real, hardcore ideas
that are most important to what they do within our industry."
