Shockwave Productions has released the latest Wings of Power aircraft, the Wings of Power P47 THUNDERBOLT for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.

Built around a massive Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine, The “Jug” was tough, powerful, and fast. The Wings of Power P47 captures this beauty of the sound, function, and feel of the real P47 with some of the latest developments in Absolute Realism. Like the aircraft, the entire Wings of Power P47 Thunderbolt series is enormous and includes many variants from the Razorback’s to the experimental 3400hp XP72 prototype.

“In almost every sense of the word, the moment you sit in this cockpit, you are in a real P47. Like our Merlin-Powered P51, this entire aircraft was built from our own hands-on experience with the real aircraft. The moment you turn the engine over, you will hear the starter of a real Pratt & Whitney R2800 engine captured in perfect fidelity. The entire cockpit is modeled down to the rivet. It just looks, functions, feels, and sounds unlike anything else. It is truly history in a box,” said Tim Gallagher of Shockwave Productions Inc.
