The Sims has been nominated for induction into the walk of game at the Metreon in San Francisco, California!

The Walk of Game is a landmark honoring the icons and pioneers of the videogame industry. This year, The Sims has been nominated for this honor. Winners are selected based on fans' votes. Anyone who registers at the www.walkofgame.com website can vote at least once a day for the entire month of October. The final inductee will be announced in November 2005. Vote starting October 1st and help The Sims make history!

The Sims has a rich history. Not only is it one of the top-selling video games of all time, but The Sims 2 was the No. 1 PC game of 2004 in both Europe and the US. Now, The Sims 2, is being completely redefined and customized to deliver the ultimate reality game on all your favorite platforms from consoles, to handhelds to mobile.

Create your Sims characters, customize their world, then directly control their lives to tell your own stories while realizing their deepest wants and darkest fears. Build their homes, create their food, and design their fashions. Guide them in their careers and fulfill their lifelong Aspirations as you create their tightly nit social network needed to survive. The Sims 2 on Xbox, PS2, GameCube, DS, and GBA will ship to store shelves on October 24, 2005. The PSP ship date has not yet been announced, but we will keep you posted!
